Our Club Today |
|
From the original six members 30 years ago our Club now boasts membership ranks of around three dozen. Of course there is always room for more!! The Club is open to the public to visit as mentioned on the Home Page plus we hold Open Houses in the late-winter and late-summer as well as during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday season. One the next few pages you’ll see a few scenes that you can see when you visit. Some of the FAQs (frequently asked questions) are: How many trains can you run? Generally for our open house sessions we run anywhere between 4-8; running more than 8 simultaneously requires more concentration and communication than is possible between watchers at the layout level and the controller(s) up in the tower in an open house environment. How long is the track? We have over eighteen (18) scale-miles of track, close to 100 switches, all supported by literally thousands of feet of wiring under the railroad. Continued on the next page. |

Three of our regular enthusiasts enjoy some time running several trains simultaneously on our massive layout.
